Graduate Engineering Roles
If you are a hard-working, self-motivated engineering graduate with strong attention to detail and an open approach to further developing your knowledge and skills, we would like to hear from you.
Through our Graduate Professional Development Scheme (GPDS), we offer engineering roles to those with a 2:1 or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, and Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
The scheme is a two-year programme with a range of soft-skills and project-specific technical training. You will learn and build experience by being involved in a multitude of projects and industries, and also receive support to become a Chartered Engineer through the IMechE, RAeS and IET.
Through innovative projects and competitions, you will enjoy plenty of opportunities to flex your engineering muscles and express yourself. At Assystem, you will have the perfect chance to prove yourself, bring your ideas to life, and receive recognition.
- For graduates with a master’s degree in engineering, we will provide you with the support to become a Chartered Engineer – generally a four-year programme with an allocated mentor.
- For those with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, it is generally a three-year programme to go on and become an Incorporated Engineer.
- For graduates with a non-engineering degree or those pursuing professional qualifications, the programme will support you to become an accredited Project Manager.
I joined Assystem on the Graduate Scheme in 2010 within the Aerospace division. Since then I have been involved in multiple engineering roles across varied projects inside both the commercial and military aircraft sectors. The varied technical experience has been invaluable to my career progression and achieving my chartered status.
